TAKE YOUR SEAT
Pick your controls.
Controllers, the keyboard or a phone. Up to four seats on one computer; every phone and laptop brings its own.
Xbox / standard controller
Press a button to wake each controller, and centre the sticks after joining or leaving the pit. Prefer triggers for the pedals? Open PAD in the game and choose the trigger preset (RT gas, LT brake, A boost, Y recover), or remap any action yourself. The game remembers each controller’s setup, so the layout is there next time even on a different port. Open PLAYERS to check who has which seat.
Keyboard drivers
| Action | Arrows | WASD |
|---|---|---|
| Drive | Arrow keys | W / A / S / D |
| Boost | Space | Shift |
| Recover | R | E |
Two people can share one keyboard: one on the arrows, one on WASD. Shift is the WASD boost so Ctrl shortcuts stay out of the way.
Sharing one computer
| Controllers | Available seats |
|---|---|
| 0 | Arrows + WASD |
| 1 | Controller + arrows + WASD |
| 2 | 2 controllers + arrows + WASD |
| 3 | 3 controllers + arrows |
| 4 | 4 controllers |
Controllers fill the first seats; the keyboard fills the next. A controller plugged in mid-race takes over a keyboard player’s truck without a restart.
Phone
Wherever your thumb lands is neutral, so there is nothing to aim for. In Lobs the phone becomes your slingshot: hold FIRE to pull the band, let go to shoot. Tilt steering asks for motion permission once, calibrates to however you are holding the phone, and can be re-centred or reversed from the menu; a held left thumb overrides it. The guides can be faint, hidden until touched, or clear, and the thumb travel is adjustable. Landscape or portrait both work; fullscreen is one tap.
Click the game once, press a button on the controller, then check PLAYERS. Browsers hide a controller until a button is pressed. A controller paired to the TV itself is not connected to the computer running the game.
